Looking at the bright spots in the water, at the reflections of the gulls over the sea I began to etch into metal, looking to capture those glimmers of movement and the shapes of creatures moving in a flock. These influenced the forms of my vessels, the clean lines of a bird’s silhouette mixing with the chaotic patterning of a group in flight, motion and controlled elegance all wrapped up into one.
